Have you ever wondered if artists think abstractly? Do they see abstraction or do they see things just like you, and then convert to abstract? This show is an attempt to show what goes on in an artist’s mind as he seeks those images that demonstrate his vision. To be sure you will need imagination, as mine is alive and abstract to the core. Each wall represents the sequence as if from a large sketchbook. Each painting has a story to tell. Some were executed within the same day, and others carried forward to appear as an adjunct amongst others from another location. Ideas and aborted paintings are never wasted. Taking time to mature they can reappear as if transformed Here I offer no direct meaning other than what the viewers themselves bring to the occasion. Mindful that we all need somewhere to start, the titles are just that. Where I started or ended. Think of them as a trigger. They are often derived from overheard conversations or observations of human interaction. I hope that when you look at them, they will bring wit and amusement to mind, and ideas that mingle with your own memories and thoughts. | |||||||
